1. Who is responsible for your data (the “controller”)

The person responsible for the personal data collected through this website (alex-exarchos.com) is:

Alexandros Exarchos, sole trader (Einzelunternehmer), operating the businesses “Evolution Freedom Fun digital” (digital products) and “Evolution Freedom Fun Coaching” (coaching, seminars and in-person work)
Altkönigstr. 14
60323 Frankfurt am Main
Germany
Email: alex@alex-exarchos.com

If you have any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, you can reach me directly at the email above.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data I collect when you use this website — including when you subscribe to receive the free One & Only Truth Manifesto, the free Eckhart Tolle booklet, or any of my other materials, and when you purchase one of my products — why I collect it, the legal basis for doing so, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights you have over it.

3. The personal data I collect, and how

(a) Information you give me directly

  • When you subscribe to a free download or my emails: your name and email address, entered into a sign-up form. Sign-ups use double opt-in: after you submit the form, you receive a confirmation email, and you are only subscribed once you click the link in it. The time of your confirmation is logged as proof of consent.
  • When you purchase a paid product (WAY, The Unfiltered, 102 Companions, The Spiral, The Mirror, Same Ground): your name, email and billing details. Card payment data is entered directly with my payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored by me.
  • When you contact me (email, contact form, or an application for a seminar, coaching or in-person place): the information you choose to include.

(b) Information collected automatically when you visit

  • Usage and device data through analytics and advertising cookies/technologies — for example pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site (including via my Google ads).
  • Video-player data when you play an embedded video: the videos on the public pages are hosted on YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (no cookies on page load; YouTube may set cookies and collect usage data when you start playing), and the paid course videos in the members’ area on Vimeo with its do-not-track option (Vimeo’s tracking cookies disabled). See §5 and §8.
  • Server logs kept by my web host, which may include your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies are covered further in §8.

5. Who your data is shared with (processors and third parties)

I do not sell your data. To run this site and my emails I use a small number of service providers who process data in connection with this site:

  • AWeber — email marketing/delivery (stores your name and email and sends my emails). USA. aweber.com/privacy.htm
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) — website analytics and advertising/conversion measurement. Google also acts partly as an independent controller for its own purposes. USA. policies.google.com/privacy
  • Stripe — payment processing for purchases. USA/Ireland. stripe.com/privacy
  • YouTube (Google) — hosting of the videos embedded on the public pages of this site (the intro videos and the free sample video), in privacy-enhanced mode: no cookies are set when a page loads; when you play a video, YouTube receives usage data and may set cookies at that moment. USA. policies.google.com/privacy
  • Vimeo — hosting of the paid course videos of The Unfiltered in the members’ area, with Vimeo’s do-not-track option enabled (Vimeo’s tracking cookies are disabled). When you play a video, Vimeo receives the usage data needed to deliver it. USA. vimeo.com/privacy
  • Convert Pro — the WordPress plugin that runs the sign-up forms on this site. The data you enter is processed on this website’s server and passed to AWeber.
  • Make.com — automation that connects a purchase or sign-up to my email tool; it runs on servers, not in your browser, and sets no cookies. [Make’s contracting entity and country are being confirmed — this entry will be completed shortly.] make.com/en/privacy-notice
  • Web-hosting provider — hosting of this website (and its server logs). [The hosting company’s legal name and country are being confirmed — this entry will be completed shortly.]

6. International data transfers

Some of these providers (notably AWeber, Google, Stripe and Vimeo) are based in, or transfer data to, the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards — principally the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the provider’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask me for more detail using the contact above.

7. How long I keep your data

  • Subscription data (name, email): kept while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, I stop emailing you and delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except a minimal record kept on a suppression list so your unsubscribe is permanently honoured.
  • Analytics data: retained for the period set in my analytics tool (e.g. up to 14 months) and then deleted/aggregated.
  • Purchase and invoice records: retained for as long as German tax law requires (generally up to 10 years, per §147 AO).
  • Applications and correspondence: kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or application.

8. Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies, in these categories:

  • Strictly necessary — cookies the site needs to function: WordPress/site cookies (including login cookies for the gated course area), and small functional cookies the sign-up forms (Convert Pro) may set — for example, to remember that you closed a sign-up box. Stripe also sets its own cookies on its hosted checkout pages to process your payment securely.
  • Consent-based — analytics and advertising cookies from Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. These are only set after you agree via the cookie banner on this site, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the banner/settings link or through your browser.
  • Embedded video — the public-page videos run in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and the members’-area videos with Vimeo’s do-not-track option: no video cookies are set when a page loads. YouTube may set cookies only at the moment you choose to play a video.

Full detail — including the automatically updated list of every individual cookie on this site — is in my separate Cookie Policy.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you;
  • ask me to correct inaccurate data;
  • ask me to erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to my processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out) — for emails, simply use the unsubscribe link in any message, or email me; for cookies, use the banner/settings link on this site;
  • not be subject to solely automated decisions with legal effect (I do not make such decisions).

To exercise any of these, email me at alex@alex-exarchos.com. I will respond within the time the law allows (normally one month).

10. Complaints

If you believe I have mishandled your data, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority — in my case Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI), Wiesbaden (datenschutz.hessen.de) — or the authority in your own country.

11. Children

This site and my materials are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be made clear on this page.
