The Spiral

Six sessions. One direction. No destination.

  • Your name.
  • Have you read 102 Companions and / or watched The Unfiltered? If yes, your number one takeaway from each.
  • If you have not yet done either: affirm — explicitly and with complete honesty — each of the three statements below.
    • "I totally accept that to every victory of mine corresponds a defeat."
    • "I know that I can never be in control of anything or anyone, including myself — yet, I also realise that to be in control of everything is equivalent to being in control of nothing at all."
    • "I would be willing to sacrifice tons and tons of, temporarily convenient to me, lies for a single ounce of liberating, but possibly unsettling for quite a while, Truth."
  • Why now? In your own words — what is shifting in you, or around you, that has brought you to this page, at this specific moment in your life?
  • What are you done with?

Where you are now

You have been looking for a long time.

Maybe through the standard, "spiritual" or "philosophical" frameworks — books you have read, retreats you have done, "teachers" you have listened to. Maybe through the kind of search that doesn't have a name yet — the late-night reading, the unsolved question that won't let you be in peace.

You have learned a lot. The vocabulary has piled up. The frameworks have stacked.

And the thing you were looking for — the moment of irrevocably reaching a state of uninterrupted bliss — has not arrived.

This is the part nobody warns you about. The next teacher will not be different in the structural sense — and if you sit with this for a moment, your throat may already know something your mind has not yet allowed it to say. Different voice, different lineage, different style — but the same shape, form, underlying reality: someone who claims, primarily by their attitude towards you, to be on the other side of the question you cannot yet answer.

And now, something truly beyond and above your search has begun to (silently or even loudly) wonder whether what these people are claiming is what your Search can never come to terms with.

Yes, it has begun to wonder whether the entire structure — the search, its "object" — is but a trap.

Only the Spiral can take It — and you — by the hand from this point onwards.

What The Spiral actually is

Six 90-minute sessions. Six months. The same group of up to twenty people, all the way through.

The sessions are not a sequence. They are a spiral — each one revisiting the same terrain at a different angle, moving inward toward what was being pointed at all along. By Session 6, you will have actually walked six times through what is currently abstract to you.

The six sessions:

  • Session 1 — Why You Can't Arrive (and Why That's the Point). The arrival you have been hoping for is structurally impossible. This is why.
  • Session 2 — What You're Actually Carrying. The weight that is not yours, named for what it is.
  • Session 3 — The Threshold. The place between the search and what was being sought.
  • Session 4 — The Quality of the Search. Not what you have been looking for. How you have been looking.
  • Session 5 — The Spiral in Daily Life. The recognition out of the room and into the rooms you live in.
  • Session 6 — One Direction. Not a destination. A direction. Which is what was always being pointed at.

Between each pair of sessions: a touchpoint. Five touchpoints in total — one between Session 1 and Session 2, the next between Session 2 and Session 3, and so on through to Session 6. Each touchpoint is a live Zoom call with the same group, taking place around the second week after each session, for twenty to thirty minutes. Your attendance to these touchpoints is optional, but please note that no replays are foreseen if you miss one or more — this can only work live, in the present moment. These touchpoints are for integration and practice — not preparation. (No session of The Spiral can be prepared for.)

The group must never become too big, because I need to clearly discern your particular identity, your unrepeated origin story, your bleeding edge, what you truly need to see and who you truly need to BE, for you to onboard the Spiral, fully and wholeheartedly. On the other hand, the group has to be big enough that no single voice in it dominates over the others and to ensure a critical mass to give you the push you need to move ahead, in your One and Only direction.

That is the structure. And what truly — and only — matters is what happens inside it.

Who is on the other side

Alex Exarchos Spiral

I am the one who is also walking, alongside you.

Not the "teacher" who has arrived. Not the one who can, supposedly, "teach" you the way to awakening. The books I've written directly mirror an inquiry that began in the 1990s and still continues. Twenty-five years of inquiry mark a road I am still on. The multiple strokes I suffered from in 2024 took away my singing voice, and left the speaking one slower than it used to be, but what it did not, and could never, take away was the willingness to keep moving further along this pathway.

That is my position, in all possible meanings of the word.

Now, then, it took me a long time to realise that the answer I had been looking for does not exist. And then — slowly, in a way I am still learning to familiarise myself with — the specific question also vanished.

What remained, I can best indicate as a void filled with life. A Presence that informs and overwhelms everything. A Presence identical to my — and everyone's and everything's — true essence. If this was my "spiritual awakening", I would never be able to verify it. The "I AM" that woke up did so by realising it had never gone to sleep.

I will not identify as a "guru" of any kind. Anyone who does, you can safely assume is a crook. The arrived-teacher position is the most sophisticated layer of the masquerade, typically adopted by frauds (and they are the majority) in this domain. This is the position that pretends to be the path and is actually what keeps the seeker stuck in seeking.

There is no method I can hand you. There is no curriculum I can run you through — no six-session arc that unfolds the same way twice, because no two groups ever sit in the same room. There is no finished version of this work I deliver from the front of the room; the spiral turns, and I turn with it. The work continues. I am also still inside it.

What I can do is hold the room for six months. See each of you in your one-of-a-kind shape and form. Walk the spiral with you — and let the room itself do the work that no single voice can do.

The teaching was never in my words. It is what happens in a room full of others when one person there has stopped pretending to stand on the far side of a question that was never real to begin with.

Now, realise that it has already been decided whether you will be one of these selected few. Not by me, not by you. By something that has been deciding for all of us (call it what you will — destiny, the field of recognition itself, the work that does the choosing) long before you read these sentences. Trust yourself. Sense, here and now, what this decision is for YOU: if it points directly towards the Spiral, you are ready to apply. If not, there's nothing more to say, right?

What becomes possible

Not an awakening. Not a transformation. Not the arrival you may still be — secretly or openly, ignoring all of your previous disappointing experiences and strong indications to the contrary — hoping for.

Something else, instead. Quieter, more particular — and once you start to feel it in the room, more familiar than anything you've ever stumbled upon in your entire life.

Six months. Six sessions. A selected handful of individuals like you, walking the same spiral six times, at a different, deeper level each time. What becomes possible in a group of this size, doing this work, is not something you could ever do on your own. It is something that only this, by definition one-of-a-kind, room will generate.

You see another person see what you have just seen, yet not being quite able to see what you can almost see. The recognition multiplies in you — not in volume, but in dimension. And what you are now able to see is that the seeker is what was being sought, all along. What you had been looking for, all this time, is what is doing the looking.

In other words, the seeker-identity, which has been doing all the looking, begins to be felt — somewhere behind your sternum, before it can be seen. You cannot dissolve (and simultaneously absolve of) it yet — that comes only in deeper and deeper work — but you can now clearly see it for what it truly is.

The arrival-narrative, which has been driving your search for so long, begins to crack — your shoulders register the unclenching before the mind can name what is happening. It doesn't collapse immediately — yet, you now know that its destiny is irreversible.

The body, which has been carrying the search like a held breath, begins to exhale. The argument with your particular "life" — the one that has prevented you from standing tall — loses its insistence.

In this regard, your relationship with your "next teacher", your "next book", your "next framework" starts to shift. You become less interested in finding the right answer, and more interested in uninterruptedly living with, and AS, the right Question.

This is the seed that the Spiral plants within you.

I cannot guarantee any of this, of course. (And, again, anyone who can — you already know what to do with them.) What I can do is do my utmost best to, first, allow and, then, nurture the planting and growing of this, by nature One and Only, Seed.

Eligibility

There are two ways into The Spiral, and the same application sits at the end of both — but they begin differently.

The first path. If you have watched The Unfiltered, or read 102 Companions, your application for the Spiral is the natural progression into my work for you.

The second path. If you have not yet explored either of the two aforementioned foundational blocks of my work, the application is still open to you — but you must, with complete honesty, affirm each of the three paradoxical statements I spell out below. In addition, you'll be asked to write a short statement on why now — a "why now" without which no application is even considered.

Here are the three statements — each one a paradox you must feel fully comfortable with — and vice-versa — while refraining from any attempts to resolve it:

  1. "I totally accept that to every victory of mine corresponds a defeat."
  2. "I know that I can never be in control of anything or anyone, including myself — yet, I also realise that to be in control of everything is equivalent to being in control of nothing at all."
  3. "I would be willing to sacrifice tons and tons of, temporarily convenient to me, lies for a single ounce of liberating, but possibly unsettling for quite a while, Truth."

(If you have not yet read 102 Companions, doing so before applying makes the affirmation of these paradoxes substantially more honest. The book is not a necessary condition you must fulfil in order to be eligible for the Spiral, but it has been written to help people viscerally familiarise themselves with my work.)

And then — and only then — one final question awaits you. It is the single question that does the most filter work for this seminar:

What are you done with?

This question cannot be answered from managed competence or strategic ambition. It can only be answered if you are, in fact, truly done, with something that has held you in bondage since times immemorial. Your email to me, through which you apply for the Spiral, is where you write your answer to this very, master-key question. And Session 1 is where we both find out whether what you wrote IS also what you truly feel.

This is the (unmistakable and unavoidable) filter. To apply for the Spiral you must pass through it — there is simply no other way.

Pricing — and the mutual decision after Session 1

$4,000 before Session 1. Up to $24,000 in total over six months.

Session 1

You pay up to $4,000 upfront. Session 1 is also where you and I resume and complete the mutual work of seeing whether this is a fit — with the other selected few who will comprise your group, in the same room.

By the end of the month in which Session 1, and its subsequent touchpoint, take place, we have to decide, together, for one of the following:

  1. Exit. You can walk away from it all. Your call. And you, of course, owe nothing further to me.
  2. Refund of the $4,000. This requires mutual consent. If we both, honestly and mutually, conclude that the fit is not there, I give you back your money.
  3. Continuation. This also requires mutual consent. I retain the right to say "this is not a fit" even if you want to continue. Again, here everything has to be mutual.

After Session 1

If we both say yes to continuation, you choose between two payment structures for the remaining five sessions:

  • Monthly. $4,000 per month, for five months.
  • Upfront balance. $18,000 paid before Session 2.

Choose whichever suits you best.

My honest answers to a few valid questions

Why $24,000?

Because this is what actually costs me to deliver this work, in the most honest and deepest fashion. Six sessions across six months, you along with a selected few like you with me through the whole spiral, no shortcuts. I will not price below what the work requires to be alive and kicking. The number is calibrated to reflect nothing more and nothing less than my unique way of walking this terrain with you, as, by definition, unprecedented human beings. This number also, consciously and deliberately, is miles away from what the "spiritual" marketplace will pay for the illusion of fast-track arrival.

How is this different from The Mirror?

The Spiral dismantles the arrival myth in general — six sessions, you along with a selected few like you, universal terrain. The Mirror takes that same work into the specific terrain of your particular life over twelve months of sustained one-to-one continuity. The focus here is on space and breadth (the group IS the medium); there, on time and depth (the relationship IS the medium). They represent a different kind of work at a different resolution.

What if Session 1 isn't right for me?

At the end of the month when Session 1 and its subsequent touchpoint take place, the triple-decision mechanic detailed in the pricing section above applies: exit is your unilateral right, refund and continuation are mutual. After that point, your six-month commitment cannot be broken. Life events (serious illness, major family emergency) I handle case-by-case at my discretion. But there is no contractual mid-seminar exit option past month one. We need to be walking through all six sessions for the Spiral to unfold in your life.

Can I do this without the book?

Yes — the application is open to you even without the book. The second path through the eligibility filter (the three paradoxical statements and the "why now" statement) is the way in for those who have not yet read 102 Companions. Having said this, I wrote this book specifically to help people viscerally familiarise themselves with this kind of paradoxical work, which means that the affirmation of the three statements becomes substantially more honest and practical for the one who has read it. Most people who join The Spiral via the side door will end up reading 102 Companions even before Session 1 begins. The choice is yours.

What is the actual time commitment between sessions?

With me, between each pair of sessions: about twenty to thirty minutes per touchpoint, attended live with the rest of the group, five touchpoints across the six months. Optional attendance — the work is in the live moment, not in the archive. Your questions will ripen on their own time, so my work cannot, and will not, stop when each session, or each touchpoint, ends.

What if I miss a session or touchpoint?

Touchpoints are optional — missing one is fine; nothing carries over. Sessions are different. The work happens live, in the room with the group, in real time. There are no replays — what is missed is missed. Missing one session is recoverable; the spiral continues without you that month, and you re-enter at the next session. Missing more becomes crucial information about the fit — and we would sit together to see what it would mean for the spiral and for you, given what is at stake here for both of us.

How to apply

If anything that you've so far read feels uncertain to you, revisit it now, before continuing with this. The decision that you are about to take cannot be anything less than fully conscious.

What is left, then, is the application — an email you write to me, directly, at alex@alex-exarchos.com, including the following essential information and responses:

The last question is the one that matters more to me (and I assume to you as well). Answer it the way you would speak to yourself at 3am — without your internal filter rushing to edit what naturally springs from the One and Only Truth of your Being.

I'll read your application very carefully and will respond as soon as possible.

If what I read confirms that you are a fit for The Spiral, I'll write back with the first-payment link and the onboarding material — your schedule for all six sessions and five touchpoints, and the access link. Your seat in the next group is secured the moment your first payment clears.

If what I read tells me that you are not yet a good fit for the Spiral, I'll let you know promptly.

Now, then, what only remains for you to see — not just read — is this:

"I will never be ready." "I am already ready." These are the same sentence, said from two different sides of the threshold. The application is where you choose which side you are speaking from:
